The Medallion

Amanda S
Amanda S is a seventh grader at Robinson who does cheerleading at Capital Gymnastics National Training Center. When she is not cheering, Amanda likes to run. She started cheer when she was eight and hopes to continue for a while longer. There is a two day competition coming up on March 18 and 19. Since most of Amanda’s day consists of cheer and school, she doesn’t have a lot of free time. When she does, Amanda likes to hang out with friends. The US finals for cheer is coming up soon and she has been training for that. Besides her parents, her cheer team has had a big impact in her life and continue to support her throughout her cheerleading career. Family and school is very important to Amanda and she strives to get good grades all year. As a result of that, she was the student of the quarter. Cheerleading is about three days a week for Amanda, the rest of the week she enjoys  relaxing, focusing on school, and watching Grey’s Anatomy.
